Our Story

Myself (Mike), my wife Lizzie and our beloved rescue dog and cat (beware, she has attitude) have never looked back since moving to the Devon countryside from our hectic lives working in London! Prior to moving, we visited many beautiful parts of the UK in our campervan and Devon always stood out as our favourite. We love the scenery, coastline, wildlife, people, pubs, and relaxed pace of life – you can never be in a rush in Devon! We are so spoilt here, being within reach of Somerset, Dorset's famous Jurassic Coast, Dartmoor & Exmoor National Parks,  we are in the perfect spot to explore the South-West of England.

We have 10 acres here at Pamos Farm, which until the 1990's was run as a working farm. We are currently renovating the farmhouse which we will live in, which is somewhere between 400-500 years old. Whilst we undertake the extensive renovations, we are based in The Cob which is the red annexe next door to the farmhouse. Once the farmhouse is finished, we will also be renting the Cob out as a 1 bed holiday let cottage. We also have other exciting ideas to expand The Ranch, so watch this space!

We love the tranquility of being so rural and close to nature, and the character of old buildings, but don’t feel that this should be at the expense of luxury! We have aimed to create somewhere that we ourselves would love to stay, where guests have everything they need to truly relax and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the Blackdown Hills.
